For Sale by Private Treaty
Although the Photos so not do Justice to this roll top desk, it is truly an outstanding piece of furniture. It was purchased by auction in the 60's, and the owner was told at the time that the desk was own by the Pinsent family, most likely the same Pinsent who was the accountant for the Union Bank in the 1880's. This is an superb example of a mid 19th century rolltop desk. The workmanship is exceptional, especially the panel work which includes winged side panels. The price is $5000 and represents very good value for any prospective purchaser.
