The town of Port Blandford not only has snowmobiling in the winter, but it is perched around the corner from White Hills Ski Resort. The ski hill has downhill, cross country, terrain park, and abundance of trails for snowshoeing and a lodge that hosts functions throughout the season. You are guaranteed a good time when arriving at the base!
Within an hour or so drive you can be in the Town of Clarenville where there are hospitals, larger shopping centres, and schools. Port Blanford is located at the foot of the Bonavista Peninsula, an easy drive to some of Canada’s most picturesque and historic sites and towns. Trinity, Port Rexton and Bonavista allow you to take in a walking play, see concerts, visit breweries, enjoy fine dining, wood fired pizzas, pubs and hike world renowned trails, such as the Cape Shore in Bonavista, Fox Island in Champney’s, Klondike in Elliston or the renowned Skerwink in Port Rexton. See whales and icebergs or get up close to puffins on the cliffs in Elliston, visit a museum or spend a quiet morning kayaking along the breathtaking coastline.
