Mill Road, Port Rexton - For Sale
Where a house becomes a work of art
Here is your opportunity to buy a Paterson Built home in Port Rexton overlooking Ship Cove, Robin Hood Bay and Fox Island, located on approximately two acres of land, directly across from Fisher’s Loft (check out www.fishersloft.com and enjoy their fine dining.)
This two storey home, designed by Frank LaPointe is bright and spacious with outstanding views from all windows.
The hip roof construction and traditional windows (including storm windows) and wooden clapboard reflect the tradition design of homes that were built when historic Port Rexton was called Ship Cove.
When you enter the well crafted main doorway, with beautiful coloured glass, you immediately get the feeling that this is a special one of a kind home.
The dappled sunlight reflects off the pine floors and the painted pine walls.
The design of the open concept main floor incorporates open chamfered beam construction
You will enjoy this home that is fully insulated and built for year round living and the wood burning fireplace with slate hearth can be enjoyed on those cool evenings of the shoulder season.
The galley kitchen was designed and built by Mike Paterson with traditional colours and very lustrous glazed finishes on the woodwork.
Adjacent to the kitchen is a back porch, and laundry room.
A three piece bathroom complements the space on the main floor.
The second level has three bedrooms and full bathroom with many Paterson built in units to accommodate books, bed side lamps, etc.
The garden shed at the back of the house will accommodate the needs of the gardener and can be used to store your bicycles or other recreational items.
The property landscape is a combination of traditional timothy grass field, wild berries, natural fauna, with colourful landscape features around the house and the deck and lavender lupins bordering the driveway.
Appliances including stacking washer and dryer are included and much of the furnishings built by Mike Paterson may be available to purchase.
Asking price is $319,000
